Cowboy

Artistically rustic in design, this rugged and casual necklace makes an especially great accompaniment to jeans and a white collared shirt or blouse, but will add some "cowboy" charm to anything you put on. The handmade wood cross and multiple strands of leather give the necklace an authentic outdoorsy look and feel. I added knots and a variety of earthy hued beads throughout the strands as well as some Tuscan shades of Czech glass beads. The brass cord endings and clasp add a little modernity to this otherwise old western style "cowboy" necklace.

The wood cross pendant is hand-carved out of Chinese little leaf boxwood and each of these crosses will vary as they are individually handmade. The strands of rawhide are knotted and the beads used on the strands include hand-painted bone tubes, orange carved bone and dyed terra cotta in greens, blue, plum and gold.

This western-inspired necklace closes with a brass lobster clasp and can be adjusted from 20 to 26 inches in length using the attached antique brass cable chain.
